ACO PhD student Sarah Cannon just won a Simons Award for Graduate Students in Theoretical Computer Science for her project entitled "Sampling Algorithms with Rigorous Guarantees". These grants are "to graduate students in theoretical computer science with outstanding track records of research accomplishments". Only 6-10 awards are given each year.
