Robin Thomas wins the Class of 1934 Distinguished Professor Award

Robin Thomas has been selected to receive this year's Class of 1934 Distinguished Professor Award. He will receive the award at the Georgia Tech Faculty and Staff Honors Luncheon on April 22, 2016.

He joins ACO colleagues Dick Lipton (CS) and George Nemhauser (ISYE), who were honored with this award in 2012 and 2015, respectively.

This award recognizes sustained outstanding achievement in teaching, research and service, and is the highest award given to a faculty member. The award includes a stipend of $20,000. It is presented to a currently active professor who has made significant, long-term contributions in teaching, research, and public service. It is expected that such contributions would have brought wide-spread recognition to the professor, to his/her School and to the Institute.
