Samantha Petti wins the 2017 Festa Fellowship

Samantha Petti has been selected by the Graduate Committee of the School of Mathematics as the recipient for the Academic Year 2016-17 of the Festa Fellowship Award. The “John R. Festa Fellowship” award is granted every year to a graduate student in Mathematics who exhibits strong academic and leadership skills.

In addition to all of Samantha's academic accomplishments, such as the papers that she has been producing, and the NSF Graduate Fellowship which she won last year, the Committee also specially noted her highly valuable help with our admitted student day this year and the great presentation that she gave during that event, as well her work earlier in the year to start an AWM chapter in the School of Mathematics.
